For the 2019 PWBA Tour season, standard events will feature 16 games of qualifying before the field is cut to the top 32 players. After eight additional games, another cut will be made to the top 12, who will bowl six more games.
The top four players after 30 games will advance to the stepladder finals and compete for the title.
The final three standard events – PWBA East Hartford, PWBA Louisville Open and PWBA Orlando Open – will be elite-field events. The top 24 players on the 2018 PWBA Tour points list will earn exemptions for these events.
These events will feature a 32-player field, with remaining spots being filled through an on-site eight-game qualifier each week.
The format for the elite-field events will include 16 games of qualifying before cutting to the top 12 advancers. Advancers will bowl six additional games before the top five after 22 games advance to the stepladder finals.
